Sean Farley
, born in Mexico to an American sailor and Mexican mother, has been competing in world class course racing events since the beggining. Starting at a young age, he´s one of the best kite course racers so far. On the 2007 PKRA world tour he finished 3rd overall, and in 2008 he finished 2nd having won the first two events of the season. Earlyer this season he won the North American and US national championship, and has been competing at the world tour events prior to this first ever Worlds Championship.



John Gomes has been on Team NJS since its beginning.  John grew up in Southern California and started sailing at a very early age.  He has been kiteboarding since 2001 and brings a wealth of knowledge from his sailing background to Team NJS.  John was responsible for the first upwind kite course in the world at the St. Francis Yacht Club in San Francisco.  With the help of Team NJS John has been able to bring the sport of kiteboarding to new territory on a global level.  John is an innovator in the sport of kiteboarding and has worked tirelessly with US Sailing and ISAF for the past few years to get kite board course racing to where it is today.  John lives and races in San Francisco California. 

 

Geoff Headington has been active in sail boat racing most of his life, and began windsurfing when he was 12 years old.  Now, with a decade of kitesurfing under his belt, Geoff is one of the top racers on the North American circuit.  Geoff has been deeply involved with NJS Designs since Nils' earliest board shapes.  Since the beginning of kiteboard racing in 2005, Geoff has been a significant presence on both the competition and operational/organizational fronts, having reached the podium on many occasions for the Cabrinha Race Series, UltraNectar Challenge distance race, and U.S. Nationals events.  In addition to developing racing around his local spots in Northern California, Geoff has been working with an elite group of individuals from the sailing community across the globe to help build the framework for international kiteboard racing competition.  In particular, Geoff has also been instrumental in the creation of kite racing specific rules that have been adopted by the US Sailing and ISAF (International Sailing Federation).  Geoff lives in Sausalito, California.
